The NAACP Middletown Branch and NAACP Sullivan County Branch will host a gathering on December 6, 2025 to show support for New York Attorney General Letitia James.
If you plan to attend, please sign up at EventBrite so we know how many people to expect!
In October, Donald Trump took revenge on our state attorney general by ordering his Justice Department to indict her on false charges. This prosecution is nothing but an act of vengeance against an accomplished Black woman who dared to hold a wealthy and powerful politician accountable to the law. Letitia James is a devoted public servant, who rose to her office through hard work and dedication to justice. On December 6, the NAACP Middletown Branch and NAACP Sullivan County Branch will stand united in support of Letitia James.
We will gather at the Second Baptist Church at 125 North Street in Middletown from 1:00 PM until 2:30 PM. We are inviting all aligned organizations to join us. So far two supporting organizations have signed on, in addition to the Second Baptist Church: 1199 SEIU and Indivisible Hudson Valley Others are in the process of signing on.
NAACP branches across New York State are rising up to stand with AG James against the weaponization of our government for petty personal revenge. Press have been invited, and we want as large a crowd as possible to show that we will not stand for such abuse.
