Tri-State Lookout interview with President Cindy-Lee Dorcely

In their latest edition, Jessica Cohen and Tri-State Lookout published an interview with NAACP Middletown Branch President Cindy-Lee Dorcely in which she discusses her priorities for the branch and the region.

“Our focus is discrimination. We expect a rise in discrimination because of politics,” she said, noting “name-calling in some spaces—Turning Point and MAGA groups in schools. I’m concerned because of discriminatory ideology behind organizations. We can’t do everything, but each of us doing something compounds and makes a difference. We’re faith based and need to show love. We make sure neighbors are treated well. We did an Alzheimer’s Walk in Montgomery and address food insecurity. Our issues are no different from national issues.”
