The NAACP New York State Conference will meet on Saturday, May 10 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at Albany High School, 700 Washington Ave in Albany.
This will be the first full gathering of the State Conference since the passing of beloved President Emerita, Dr. Hazel N. Dukes. Together, attendees will reflect on her legacy and share how she will be honored through continued action, including plans to chronicle the history of the Conference.
On the agenda:
- Officer and committee reports
- Preparation for the NAACP National Convention
- Updates to the NAACP bylaws
- A presentation from State President L. Joy Williams, sharing her vision for the work ahead
Following the meeting, from 3-5 PM, the State Conference will partner with the NAACP Albany Branch for a voter activation to educate and engage voters in advance of their municipal elections. This action will take place at the same location as the meeting.
This meeting is not just for branch leadership! All members are welcome and encouraged to attend! Whether you are a branch officer or a general member, your participation helps strengthen the NAACP’s impact.
